I can see Puerto Rico, heavy humid and beautiful island. Seem this island is perfect to paint the beach wit pink frosting house in the bright blue ocean beside. I can image it. Right away, I will paint or draw it but I don’t have a material to draw it.
Wow, it is very irritated to ignore her that she is her guest for only two week. I can her grandma is very freak about soap opera TV sow almost like twilight zone as se mentioned in the story. Our time is much changed less trust or keep secret well as Power of Kindness said. Her mother said Puerto Rico is very respect and trustful but very curios with English people.
Aww, I miss my mom’s heal item when I was sick. She mostly never allows me get medicine unless it is not working to heal me. I will like to heal to take healthier than poison in my body.I felt I need a need a energy from positive energy in my mother’s house because her house is very neat and no dust spot. I felt she have an OCD. In story, they don’t believe the mess that those messes will influence people’s energy in their body because negative and old spirit stuck in the mess. I am happy that Angela change and no more to be anorexia. I am jealous of this grandma because she is very bright and wise. She knew how to stop anorexia not like America always give people a medicine or therapist to doctor earn the money without give them a shortcut. How darn of them. Of course, America always thinks about money. I did know America could discover to stop Cold virus but they don’t want to cure the people. They will bankrupt at end that no one is cold anymore.
I have a feeling that PR’s belief is same mine to have positive influence by energy not by virus or bacteria. Just your mental and energy. I always like to clean in my desk and other in once three months to see what I change that much and feel better to see cleanlier in my room.
This story is very spirit story to read and see other side of the culture. Their tone was very friendly and warm but very long story. Author could wrote shorter story. I guess the story is pretty good. ☺

The Curcuit

The circuit by Franciso Jimenez. I love strawberry and I am sure everyone love it. I already miss my mom's homemade whip on fresh strawberry from farming market. Ohh, it is my home CALIFORNIA whit warm sunshine with beaches but this is middle of California which is boring plain farm is everywhere. Fresno is boring city ever I seen because it is very quiet city and lot of brown that I could remember during I was having road trip around big state California. Mr. Sullvian saved Jimenez's family before they go boring to death town, Fresno.

What?? He is eleven years old to work on tough farming with heat... crazy. His family and he came from Mexican family. I knew Mexican do work at farm that theydon't have a green card or social security to work at real job. Also, they don't know an English that is other reason. They do encouraged their children to school but they need a money to earn for their live.

I impressed that Franciso have same personality as I am because I love to be success at school and show my parents what I got or showing that I made. Every time I got report card, get a prize or other, I were excited to show my parents. I love this because they possible to give me money or eat out restaurant.

Then go my home California. My state is wonderful place to visit because their have everything is desert, mountain, beach, plain, farm, city, and more. Everyone is welcome and see real Mexican do work at farm as in book. It is still exist even long ago about 1950’s.

This story is hard to anayzle because it is just story without emotion. But it have emotion at end, Franciso was proud and will see happen with his father will surpise his son become success and not give up. Also, I feel it is very common in my community and visual. I was just missing to see many Mexican. In DC, Mexican is very fewer. It is strange for me to see. One and half months left to go back California to see full Mexican people and HOT weather. ☺ It is my favorite but it is wrong time because we are in fall and sooner go into winter.

The Hands of My Father

The Hands of My Father By Christopher Jon Heuer. Wow, that is sad that he don’t have a connect with his own father. His father rather do a farming instead his own deaf son. He is very different because his father never talks him. Some fathers do gesture with their own deaf children or other way to learn the sign or speak with their deaf children. If he works with his father, it would help to talk his father without struggle. His father loved the farming after everything. He live and breathe the farming. He is very quiet and forceful on his hobby and working.
The poem talk about disappoint in their parents. I have a fewest disappoint in small thing with my parents because I am happy to live and grow up in good family. For example, my mom always nod during I talked to my mom. I noticed it that she not responded and I asked her did you understand me? She said no. It is always happen with my mother. I was talking her talking for long time and waste the time. But It is funny memories with my mom. ☺ I hope she don’t forget the signing while I left home for college.
I looked at Christopher’s family. My life and his life were very opposite because I have a connected with my parents. They are encouraged me and talked in my language. We are very strong and respectful family.
Christopher has a father’s hand. It made me thinking that Christopher signed which his father has same hand of his son can signed. Both are similar hand and connect but his father won’t learn the signed. I have same hair and eyes with my deaf grandpa. It is skipping the DNA but I have a hand and fuzzy from my mother. I have face shape and wave hair from my father. I am happy that i can see my mother and father's in me. :) Good thing i have a connect in my family and my sister too.

Finally I read longest story so far in this first semester. ☺ Amy Tan wrote Rules of the Game as her autobiography. I knew it is Chinese story because author’s last name. It is very common last name. I had a feeling that she has a success in somewhere that she proved the American wrong. I knew Chinese was struggled and rare Chinese got success.
Her Tone was wave of the mood as disappoint, sad, happy, and thrilled. It is hard to tell which she is on mood during she write on the story. She wrote it as machine as time to time to write down the story.
I understood she lived in famous China town in San Francisco. Seem she grew up in middle class that her family could afford the three of full 5 courses a day but she ate weird food that she said “it is unnamed food” and not want to ask her mom to make her freak out. maybe it is shark soup as I heard it China do eat it. I remember I have huge 5 course of the meal at cruise last August. I was going to Alaska with extreme delicious five courses every dinner. I missed it their food.
I popped my mind. Is it happening before Vintemn war to make America put Chinese prison camp? I found it Wikipedia that it is happen after Chinese and Japan prison camps. It allowed Japanese and Chinese leave the camps at 1945. Good thing they are still survivor through the camp.
Narrator tells the story was very detail. She describes everything in her hometown. She remembers during her childhood. Her purpose was telling everyone that her hometown was different and unique. Today and past was different. She don’t allow people forget the past look like and write in the book. It won’t fade the memory in the future. I felt she is very well memorized child
I don’t know why her name is different from modern name. her offical name was Waverly Place Jong but her mom called her after the street for American document. I am she wont use meimei during she grew up. Meimei is supporting for young sister. Maybe she married someone to change her last name to Tan.
The word catch me “Chinese Torture” I guess it mean Keep working. They don’t care about fun because they deserved to live the better country than their home country China. They took it prize to work. Remember China and Japan have higher education and knew English than 95% of America. It is fact that I saw it on somewhere on Youtube in past. I wish the title of the video.
I discovered she don’t believe in Santa Claus because she knew enough to seprate the race as white between Chinese. Children barely realized which one apart the color. They only look at personality and shape. One of my teacher told me a story. Her daughter explained to his dad that she want to invite her friend for her birthday. Her describe was telling about shape and personality, not color. I wish all people think this way not race. It is my major dream for our world to change it. It could cause peace in the world. Children are beautiful.
I hate the end of the story because it don’t finish about her competition and her family. She just go her room and look out of the window. What next?! I guess she stopped to play the chess because her mother changed by narrator. She was becoming ego, too much pride, and honor her daughter as queen not in her sons. She don’t care about her Chinese culture after her daughter won the games in chess.

I felt to want to type more info about the story but it already too much info in this blog. good night

Delight... Gift of Laughter

This story supposed to be friendly and touchy by title. Gift of Laughter mean it have to give everyone to be smile and laugh at end. Allan is narrator this story. He told his story about his son and past with his grandma which is related to his son. Allan seem have natural story teller because it is very smooth and make me smile at end that he is so smartass to get his son join him to eat ice cream while he want to run away which he stood outside. I was impressed Allan is knowing that he don’t want it make it happen repeat as in his past that he trade old football for his value brand new sled and marble.
At beginning, I thought it talk about Christmas that Allan’s son found Christmas gift under the tree as son was surprised. I guess wrong that his son thrilled to give his father priceless draw picture. His father was forgetting his birthday. It is making sense for his title, gift of Laughter that son draw strange picture of his dad. Same time, Allan was talking about money problem but his son gave him priceless. How it is surprised by luck. He don’t have to get a money or gift. It is just gift without money, Laugh.
Narrator Allan don’t have to take anger management because he didn’t slam his door for 25 years which it is surprised me that he is very gentleman and patience for everything until he heard his son slam and pissed off. It reminded him as in his past. He built the protect the bad memories from his son. He will explained his son about his experience. But it is irony that his son is only seven years old.
I found it is match the theme “leaving home” because Allan’s son ready to leave home because he is just pissed off that his dad not care his sweetest gift that he remember dad’s birthday. Allan’s family seem like be Italian family to me because his parent is foreign but move recently from other country. His grandma voice football but it is supposed to be fruit bowl. Poor Allan was misunderstand about his grandma. Why not he ask his grandma before he brought the football which he give up the thing that he love. Lucky, his grandma was proud his grandson which is nice and think he is funny to make it football with fruit bowl.
Narrator’s tone is tried to be funny, inspired, and smooth. His message came from the story is he remember the past and explain same experience that don’t want to repeat in the future. But it past and future is same. Hard to be different. Look at our America history, it do repeat.
